What did you learn today?

I learned that WWI didn't have a bunch of big trench warfare like in europe, but because so many of the pacific countries were colonized back then, it really messed up trade.

The Qing empire had just fallen, Japan had defeated the Russians, something that the world powers said was impossible: No Asian can defeat a western country in a war. While the 19th century showed this to be quite true, the 20th century proved different.

For over a year, Indonesia (dutch east indies) didn't get any word from the Netherlands.

Also, having war in the middle east was very concerning to all the Muslims living there. How were they to do the Hajj if there was a war in Mecca?

I learned that on the last fateful voyage of the marine electric one of the crew got left behind at port. But the pilot boat to pick up the crew to help them get out of the bay gave him a ride to his ship so he wouldn't get fired.

Its like CHECKING THE CLOCK in classroom.

The more you do, the more you regret.
So advice : Stop doing it


Also the more you look, the more you will focus on it. And the more you will fixate on it.
The more you fixate on it, the more it will stick in your mind.
The more it stick in your mind, the more you will care.
The more you will care, the more it will hurt you. (especially if you arent being a big successful series)

Also it reminds me of CNs, where poor MCs keep checking empty bank account.
But when there is a lot = "just a string of numbers"
Its like grinding currency in games, when it turns big, there isnt any fun despite clearly your goal.

Today I finally figured out the profiles of everyone from Chess.com who came here (at least to my knowledge), and each and every single one of them is inactive now, the majority wrote no books, or really took the time to read other books, and the only one really interacting with the community... is me. Feels a little lonely in here now, especially since I left Chess.com due to its chaotic inconsistency, a loss of many friends due to them being banned left and right, and to some degree its toxicity. Oh well.
