What are your thoughts on the Egghead arc of One Piece?

Hello!!!!

For the users of this site that are fans of One Piece, what are your thoughts on the way that the Egghead Island arc was written?

Spoiler: My thoughts on the arc. Spoilers for anime onlys.

I liked the way that we got to see what some of the other factions were doing outside the island of Egghead during this arc. Whether it be the events that took place on Hachinosu or the movements of the Heart Pirates and the Kid Pirates, they were fun to read.

But I must say that I am disappointed by the fact that we did not get a better explanation for the origins of the Devil Fruits from Doctor Vegapunk. I also feel disappointed by the way that the Vice Admirals (especially Doll and Bluegrass) were easily defeated when they fought their opponents during this arc.

Overall, it was a good arc.

I've got to pick it up again. I caught up to it back when Kuma's backstory(Bless the dude) concluded and forgot to pick it back up again. For where I'm at, I think its better paced than a lot of the New World arcs, and its story is pretty good too, but it feels more like a set-up arc then a big main arc. Which is perfectly fine since you need set-up for big moments.

I've watched maybe 3 episodes of One piece, they weren't the same season/arc and don't have the time to watch the anime anyway, due work

If it's Egghead and its not played by the late Vincent Price, I'm not interested... :D

It was pretty good, wish they just told Bonny's backstory all at once instead of jumping back and forth a thousand times but that's One Piece I guess. Was also cool to see the 5 elders go crazy even if they are all certified losers.

Mostly though? I'm just excited to move on to Elbaf and see what tf imu is up to with killing one of the elders

Worked for me for a while, then we got to the broadcast and I wasn't too pleased with how it was handled...and everything with the five elders is just a rollercoaster man.
