I am talking about what type of writer are you?
What i mean is are you the type who outlines all of the story? If so how. I can understand if it's a one book but for webnovel how?
or Are you pantser?
I'm in the middle in other word a hybrid. I plan somewhat but not much.
Another question is did you ever post the first chapter just after writing? Being as dumb i am i ended up posting just after writing. I didn't even get the plot! No planning whatseover. No stacked up chapters or anything. In the future i am never doing that i swear!
And when writing do you turn off your internal editor? Or keep editing while writing?
I don't do plans and stacking chapters. I don't do plots too! I just do what I want...which is quite dumb—we're the same! :blob_highfive: I don't regret it tho.

Internal editor? Do you mean auto-correction? If so, I turn it on...well—I use Grammarly. Uhn.

10% pantser, 90% procrastinator. Yep, that’s me~

On a more serious note, though. I’m a pure pantser. I don‘t plan at all. I start my story simply by daydreaming about it, seeing it in my head like a scene in a movie, and then write it down and tell a story about it.

It’s all spontaneous. Sometime I get stuck—mostly because of my perfectionism kicking in, but once I start coaxing it to step down, treating it to a glass of wine, it suddenly calms down and I can work again.

Usually it goes for me like this: "hmmm, this is a neat idea" *10 days later* "oh yeah, that idea, huh? I should make it a web series or smth" *10 days later* "oh yeah, I almost forgot about it. How do I write it? I know, I'll write it like this" *writes like 10 chapters* "I know what I want to do with this story but I don't feel like writing it anymore. It doesn't feel novel to me" *a series of attempts to finish it anyway, but not getting close* "oh, this element makes the plot fall apart. So illogical" *writes out settings in a libre document because I'm so based* "yep, now I know what to do, how about trying to make a plan for it?" *writes plot for three major plot arks or volumes ahead* "I don't wanna write it again" *stalls and writes tiny pieces of the plots in-between life* *is currently on a year-long hiatus*

I either make it on the spot resulting in 1-2 hour making of chapter or just procrastinates and do it later.

Alright, finally got time to read this,

I am a panster.
I plan out the beginning, and day dream about some events, could be major or minor, and hopefully remember them long enough to write them down.

After that, the text goes through multiple screening of editing, sometimes i have to rewrite an entire chapter,
The editing includes adding question tags, dialouge tags, scene descriptions, jokes etc to the original rough draft which originally just consisted mainly the dialogue.

Internal editor means your inner edittor. Like just after writing a sentence/paragraph you end up thinking it would be better some other way

I do a lot of planning but rarely ever make physical outlines. However, I can tell you everything that is going to happen in order all the way to the end of the series as well as all that is going to happen in my other works.

I used to outline my stories in advance. I always ended up thinking of better ways to take the plot as I was writing, though and it lead to a million rewrites.
Now, I’m pretty much a discovery writer all the way. I will start a novel with nothing whatsoever in mind, save the general premise/world/cool idea I want to write a book around. It’s working out way better for me than outlining ever did. Also, I like how it feels like the story isn’t actually coming from me. It feels like it’s being told to me by the aether through the medium of my typing hands.
I had a few stories where I had a backlog to post, but now I just update as I write.
I proof-read and edit each of my chapters around 5 times before posting them, though.

If that's the case, then, yes I did that.

You just have to let it flow and be true to what you really want to write. Writer’s block usually comes when you refuse to write what you truly want because maybe you might be a bit ashamed of it.

Let’s say, you really want to write the steamy sex scene with a bit of kink and weird fetish, but you don’t do so because you’re afraid of being judged; your subconscious will say goodbye to you if you do that, and you’ll face the dreaded writer’s block.

So just write what you really want. Don’t care about anything, just let it flow. Tell a story.

Wasn't around when this was first posted, but might as well respond now that it is back at the top.

I don't plan, really. It seems like it at times, but that is because it takes a while to write what has happened. I just create a world in my head, then create some characters and throw them into it and watch. Initially, things tend to go as I'd like, but then the characters take on minds of their own, so planning is pointless. Instead, I just watch them and then eventually write it down, potentially after talking to others about it, making it seem like I planned it. This does have the annoying result of not being in control of what happens, however.

As to posting, I prefer to have a few chapters built up before posting, and then I try to have backlog so I don't have to keep writing on a schedule. Seemed to work pretty well on my first story, except for when I had to take a several-month break due to medical issues. Currently working on another new one and plan to follow the same methodology. I also try to make certain I don't need to edit by being careful about how I write, but it doesn't always work. I don't bother re-reading, normally, instead, I just have someone else check for errors before I post, and in exchange, they get to read all the chapters as soon as they are done instead of waiting.

i have changed my way. Now i have starrted outlining. Since all my story ideas contain foreshadowing i need to outline. Beside outlining would help me write faster.

I plan my stories but I rarely put said plans to use. Procrastination is one hell of a drug.

For me, I plan out the major story beats, the major events. But the characters and how they react to those events is completely unplanned.
In general, I know what's exactly going to happen 1 chapter ahead, I know generally what's going to happen for the next quarter or sometimes half of the overall story, and no idea whatsoever about anything after that.

A pantser here. I write the first chapter, edit it and then post it. I don't have the motivation to write the rest otherwise. But, after the first chapter, I can stockpile just fine. I don't know why.
