Aside from what SaiGe said, you can have a 'beta' reader (a friend, a classmate, a brother/sister, etc.) to check on things before releasing your work to the online wilderness.

You can also ask someone online to be a beta reader for you, though SH in this case can be a doubtful answer to your needs (since I've seen a lot of unanswered posts asking for feedback before).

I had a dream last night that they discovered life on mars, was pretty disappointed when I woke up.

Aside from having other people read your work, you can wait a bit and then read it again yourself. After some time when you no longer have the same mental image or mindset you used to write the particular work, you will be able to judge it more objectively.

Have other people read it and give feedback on it to decide if it's readable.

Ya know, I'm a lazy person. So, I shorten people's names (at least those I'm close with).
It was the excessive familiarity...that caught me off guard s'all. :sweating_profusely:
You need to have more friends. ?

May I suggest you going to HoneyFeed discord? I've seen their system there of instead of authors coming to beta readers, beta readers advertise their availability and service.

@Tabula_Rasa tis a joke, mein freund.

Besides, we Filipinos tend to familiarize with others fairly quickly...

(I don't know if it's a Filipino-only thing)
It's a Filipino-only thing. However, if you include a couple bottles of vodka, some beer, a can of smoked European sprat, rye bread, cucumbers, and boiled eggs into equation, Russians can familiarize with others in one night.

I mean, give me that and I'll be too busy to familiarize.

Definitely not like that where I live, though I don't whether that is due to covid taking away everyone's social smoothness.
Prolly that, and if you live in the Highly-urbanized cities (the posh areas), tendency is, there'll be a lot of snobs.
