Now, I know many of you have written at least one story involving Werewolves at some point in your lives, my question for you all is What kind of Werewolf do you prefer?

The cute, fluffy, loyal kind, or the kind that would gladly reduce you to chunks of flesh within nanoseconds before eating you, or are you a little bit of both?
please let me know what you think?

My fantasy is that their fluffy and loyal with me. But if someone threatens me they're fierce and protective. They would gladly tear someone to pieces if I was in danger.

*Cough* thats the fantasy anyway

Fluffy feels like a copout to me. Like is it really a werewolf if its not trying to rip your face off at least a little?
That said, my own werewolf character is deep in cute, loyal and fluffy territory, with the caveat I'm trying to do something with the idea of people wrongly assuming savagery of her because she walks on four legs some of the time.

So basically I think they should be monsters but given the opportunity to write one myself I immediately fell into "this girl is a dog because her bff wanted a puppy and wasn't allowed have one and she went “aw hell no, I AM THE PUPPY”"

I see....I had a puppy once, until my brother fed it chocolate out of jealousy

Since they're basically just humans with a slightly feral streak, they ought to be both. :blob_cookie:

One of the main characters in my novel is a Werewolf, the feral kind. Though this curse is different. See, my world has 3 moons not one, so the transformation lasts several days instead. On the last day, she regressed to a wolf-human hybrid where she has more sentience over her actions before reverting to her human form.

I like the cute fluffy wolf form, but it removes the danger and urgency of a Werewolf to me cx

As a wise child once said, why not both?

They have three forms:
1) Boring human
2) Ferial, savage wolfman or wolfwoman that will shred you if you look at them funny
3) Cute and fluffy wolf (that can still savage and kill you in the blink of an eye, but look cute doing so).
Werewolves are definitely feral. If they aren't, then they would be domesticated weredogs.
"Help! I was bitten by a were-poodle!" "No, that's just a bad haircut..." "Grr...."

"Depends".

If someone has been hit with a curse, they are probably going to be feral. Nature of the curse.

If you are looking several generations later, it becomes a matter of mastery, going from semi-feral to fully controlled with practice. But the shape shifting is no longer triggered by the moon, and being able to do it at all might require practice and effort under some level of stress.
