So my friend came up with this really weird idea for a gnome story and it's about a gnome wanting to paint. I think it's weird and my friend agrees but is writing it. (By the way they will soon post the book if you are interested, it's called I Want To Paint - A Gnomes Tale and is by the user Reader_Of_Books) but that's not why I made this thread. I made this for asking, what is your weirdest book idea that you've had? Or what is the weirdest that you've read?

A story about a high school student who is basically a cliche Jap. harem protagonist but wants to kill his harem as the cliches(ex. Punching when an accident happens(every harem member), never telling the truth(tsundere), being fucking creepy(yandere), not acting like regular human beings(every harem member))and everyone outside the harem jealous of him when he’s getting spread thin between school, his part time job, and the girls who won’t stop annoying him, which has fucking annoyed him too much and he snaps. I wanted to write it yet I really don’t want to as I feel I will ruin this weird yet genius idea, so feel free to use this idea for any stories you people want to write.

I have created a bunch of stories on my head, and they often took very weird turns as the story progressed, but... Weirdest idea? I don't think I had many that were weird solely by the idea.

I guess I'd go with Incest Vampire Yuri as my weirdest idea... Specifically because the sisters children when they became vampires (so their bodies didn't age any further), and also because they were separated for over 500 years, and only became a couple after the reunion.

Then there were a lot of weird wacky developments, lots of plotholes, some plotlines I also ended up forgetting midway through developing them and... Well, it was a mess of a story, all things considered.

I think nowadays, even the stories I make in my head and make 0 notes about, still end up getting much better developments and way less plotholes than my older stories~

Gnomes are interesting, too I suppose.

I've always wondered about this kind of subverting the harem cliche stories: Why do these fictional women, who are solely made to be enjoyed by certain demographic of men, must be punished for their fictional actions?

I suppose, it's still a fiction in the end, so no harms done.

But I believe it's better to write better women characters. After all, the ones who should be shit'ed on are the authors, not those fictional characters who behave unrealistically.
