Weird question

How do you open boxes? I mean boxes packaged for shipping, such as an Amazon package.

I peel the tape off with my fingers. I have to stock the freezers at work and this is typically the easiest way for me.

If my nails are sharp enough, I just tear through it. Sometimes, the tape is weak enough that I can easily do it. If not, I usually grab a box cutter

I usually use whatever is handy at the time. I usually have my keys on hand, so those are most common now. but I worked retail stocking for 6 years, so i got pretty quick with those safety box cutters.

fun fact, for breaking them down for the baler, i usually just punch the bottom of the empty box. works better than dealing with a loose, flimsy box and my cutter.

I learned back in my stocking days that you can punch the fuck out of a box with a slightly raised knuckle to break the center open. So I typically do that if I know it won't bite back.

Otherwise, I use whatever tool is available- knife, credit card, fork. If it's a sharp object that I can force through the tape, I'm gonna use it. If the tape is weak, partially torn, or raised already, I rip it.

If all else fails, there's always ape mode. Monke want contents. Monke get contents.
