More than two dozen students at the University of Illinois that were caught cheating using AI for their work were forced by two professors to write apology letters to the Dean of the School.

They did. Unfortunately, the apology letters were written by AI. The professors' realized this because every letter they received began with "Webster's defines "apology" as..." :ROFLMAO:

Scream Clubs have begun to crop up all over the United States in recent weeks. The club allows people of all types to come in to a designated building to first ready their lungs and relax throat muscles - and then scream as much as they want to. There are two rules that we know of for Scream Clubs. Rule #1, you cannot sue or seek litigation of any kind against the Scream Club organizers for damage to your vocal cords. Rule #2, you can't tell anyone what you're screaming about. ?

Wasp nests are becoming a growing trend in home decor, according to professionals. Wasp nests are actively sold on sites like Etsy. The real live wasp nest has been taken from out of the forest, or in trees, or wherever, thoroughly cleared of wasps, and then sold. Professionals are saying that besides the unusual home decor, there is also the hint of danger that some people will love. ?

In Spain, a group of criminals in Madrid have been arrested for stealing an unprecedented 1,000....... outdoor chairs from local restaurants across the city.. :ROFLMAO:

they cheat with AI? in my college days... my friends made small notes that couldn't even be read unless you glared. these people usually didn't dare to sit in the front row during exams. of course, I sat in the front row of the exam, because being in the back or in the front didn't make any difference to me.

I remember watching a classmate during a history exam hastily scribbling dates in years on his desk. Everyone watched him do it, the bell rang, and the class started. Every so often, someone would get up to "use the restroom" next door, and take a quick glance at his desk. ?
I don't understand this thread at all.
"Weird News" are strange news reports I've come across from around the world today. ?
The sense of danger, I suppose. Actually, when you really look at a full grown wasp nest, it's gorgeous. *^^*

Anyone heard about the AI psychosis people are getting? Crazy times we live in...
Yup, reading about that now.

Frankly, this is not new news. For generations, people have relied on other than their own intelligence for life choices, such as fortune tellers, Magic-8 balls, etc. A stunning "Twilight Zone" episode called "Nick of Time" with William Shatner is a testament to this. He plays a man coming into a cafe with his wife, and they become obsessed with this fortune telling machine that begins telling them odd things, essentially dictating their lives - and this is exactly what ChatGTP is doing now.

So...people of Earth, a little wake-up call, if you please:

Live your own lives and STOP relying solely on anything "artificial" to guide you. ?
