I see that as yandere, but not toxic, just... part of healing.
Dude, you and I have a different idea of Yandere~ lol

Yandere is overly obsessive and possessive, which in itself are toxic traits. The problem isn't about being obsessive or possessive, it's in the word "overly."

There are many types of Yandere, but when mentioned offhand, the first thing that comes to mind is a crazy chick who stabs her crush for talking to another woman. How is that not toxic, not to mention psychopathic?

Yeah, but just because someone stabs you doesn't mean they don't care. I got stabbed all the time. It's just how some people express themselves. They understand it's wrong, they just need to work through it to get past it.

They're just testing you, that's all.

Bah. It's kinda like poison. You expose yourself to a small dose and eventually build up an immunity. Same thing with bullets. You shoot yourself with a small caliber until you build up your tolerance, then you slowly increase it until you are tanking quite nicely.

Someone comes at you with a kitchen knife? Please... I'd be insulted.

I guess I have no immunity for dying, then. Pity me. Though, to the best of my knowledge, people only die once in their life~? :blob_hmm_two:

Oh. Not immune to death or anything, just, you know, chick's dig scars and I got quite a few. Mostly from the GF, mind you. Ever get stabbed with a broken glass candle stick? Don't. I dunno why but getting stabbed with metal, while often more dangerous, hurts way less.

Not.. that I didn't have it coming. I may have pushed the argument way too far. Certainly took me off guard. You expect the whole, breaking a bottle and stabbing with the neck thing, but a candle stick while having a romantic dinner? That was a new one. Always full of surprises that one.

I guess that's why I married her.

Look. Every woman is going to test you. It's just what they do. I happened to like spicy women at the time I was in college, that's all. Look at it this way, if she comes at you and you freak out and go, "OMG, You totally stabbed me!" When all she really did was put a big gash on my arm, how can she depend on you? Nobody wants to date a wimp.

It's like a woman who sleeps with you on the first date and then ghosts you. If you'd jump right in bed with any girl who offers it up, how could she trust you to stay faithful? It's all just a case of testing your character. I'm not saying it's all sunshine and kittens. It's just that, in the end, I'm a big guy. Even at 50 I could kick most people's asses. learning how to do take downs is just part of the job.

So if you are a woman who's 95 pounds soaking wet with a guy a foot taller and a hundred pounds heavier, what do you think is going to happen if I lose my temper? Knowing she could push me that far and I still tried to talk her down was really what sealed the deal. Part of the problem was she used to hang out with really stupid guys who were rather violent. To find a big guy who could handle himself and yet AVOIDED fighting, was a little hard for her to believe. And it wasn't like it was planned. She just lost control of her emotions, that's all.

It doesn't help that I have no facial expression because I got beaten into a coma and my face is partially paralyzed. And... I'm light on my feet. Like... for a guy as big as me, I am VERY QUIET. I try to make noise when I'm out in public, but I get tired and just walk normally sometimes. Then people turn around, see me standing there, don't see or hear me when I walk up behind them, and they always jump.

Any idea how much that hurts?

To have people whose first reaction upon seeing you are standing behind them is to scream and jump out of their skin? Not my fault I'm a big scary guy, but I'm still a big scary guy, nonetheless. It happens ALL THE TIME. I might be big and scary, but if I'm big and scary, to everyone but YOU, well... that negative turns into a positive, doesn't it? My wife still doesn't understand how I can make people feel threatened just by widening my eyes, but I can. She just got used to me. Most people are REALLY sensitive to body language and I don't have any. Way too much nerve damage.

Look, to have someone as Hot as my wife who was willing to look past the fact I come across as a serial killer was worth the "testing" she put me through. They all test you, the only difference is HOW they test you. She was attracted to men who could project "Killing Intent" without speaking, she just wanted to make sure I was safe.

It's just how some people connect, that's all.

Apparently, you still get stabbing and killing all mixed up. Like I said, there are many types of Yandere, but when mentioned offhand, the first thing that comes to mind is a crazy chick who kills you with a knife.

If dying is considered a test, then once you pass that test, what's next? Meet her in your next life so you can get lovey-dovey until she kills you again, rinse and repeat? This is a vicious cycle, an ultimate toxicity in a spiritual scale.
