Dude, he started off a god king in magitech world and was always more powerful then everyone around him but pretended to be weaker than he was. As a child he was teleported into a forest and out survived an ELF. The ELF depended on him for survival... IN A FOREST.

Cmon... is there anything he sucks at?

I'm not saying it is a bad story. I'm saying the power creep is bad.

As for his enemies being too powerful to murder. Cmon. They are all weaklings who depend on the lances for power. Tell me with his PET DRAGON he couldnt mop the floor with any lance, most likey could take on two.

As for the human and dwarf kings, please...

I don't, for one second think he would lose.

He wasn't a god king or anything like that

He was a king in a world where there was also other kings

He was only king because he could quickly beat people in a fight with a sword and he wasn't really talented with magic, but That does point to his skills as a swordsman.

Also, I don't recall elves being particularly more powerful than humans when around the same age and similar training.

Also, elves have cities.

As far as I know, he can't really perform aether manipulation.

Ah, so the story isn't at those beings yet, you will enjoy that very much.

If I remember correctly though, he can't beat a Lance yet.

Dont care about the book. I go by what I read in the manga. If the manga and the story differ, I go by the manga and my assessment stands.

Maybe they did a better job in the story. Hell, I bet they did. By the manga, I do not believe for one moment the MC will lose.

Not a clue. He just got locked up across from his former mentor. I mean, holy fuck, telegraph the plot much? But hey, it's cool. You know he can't lose. You read the story to learn how he escaped the impossible situation, not because you are worried if he might lose.
