Villains/ antagonists with interesting superpowers

As stated before, I want to have my MC use an actual existing, fictional (as in from manga, light novel, TV series) villain/ antagonist's superpower as his own.

If you have any suggestion, please state and thank you.

I use the term antagonists because it widens my scope of search. Character must go against, once and/ or still is. For example, I consider Accelerator a choice. Reason I didn't because his power is too overused.

Villain is also a helpful term, because it can encompass villain protagonists in my search too.

So far my list is stuck with Jojo and its array of time power users...

Then the Boys have Homelander... yeah no.

Now moving towards Rykard from Elden Ring, because I want my MC to have body horror superpower.

Well, there's always Haku from Naruto, his abilities were pretty unique.



Another more interesting, but somewhat overpowered one is Ogudamon from the digimon franchise. I don't know all it's abilities, but ignoring his most broken powers, he is immune to attacks that carry malice, or attacks from anyone with a guilty conscience.



SAO had a villain named Gabriel Miller who's power came from the fear of others, essentially the more people that considered him some unstoppable monster (alive or dead), the stronger he was. Any perception of him affected his power, so he could even become immortal. Of course, it was a double edged sword, because if people saw him as weak, he would be a lot weaker than normal.



There was a guy from some series I watched, don't remember what it was called, some mecha anime, but he had the power to reverse anything, but only one thing at a time. I think after the training arc, he could even use it on time and momentum.



And the last one who comes to mind is Gremmy from Bleach, though he might be too powerful for a protagonist. Anything he imagines becomes reality, but his subconscious also affects his imagination, hence fear can make his opponent stronger if he thinks they're stronger than him.

Coz technically the antagonist in the movie the perfect storm is the weather.

Or the movie alien, the xenomorph dont have super powers but they are just built different.

In the manga Shuumatsu no Valkyrie: Record of Ragnarok, the antagonist are gods, is that a super power, being a god?

Of does it have to be a human shape thing and uses a "power"... like magneto?

Or the villains in Petals of Reincarnation?
The villains get powers but also memories of their past lives e.g Hitler.

will your story only get the power or the thing that gives them the power?

In answer to @NotaNuffian, depends who they're fighting. There's no point in them being like Superman if the opposition aren't using guns. I.e. the superpower has to make sense within your world building.

Personally I always liked Wolverine's adamantium skeleton and claws. Not a superpower or ability per se, but useful in a lot of fight scenarios.
Invisibility is my other suggestion. I haven't watched the most recent Invisible Man but saw Cinema Sins and Cinema Wins' reviews. It was heckin' creepy. In the case with your story, you could position it as a superpower and not grounded in 'science'. I think it's also a kind of 'body horror' if you're imaginative enough. Final suggestion: ability to summon lightning like Thor. Ahhhhahah ah.

Sorry, don't ingest a lot of manga et al. Though just recalled the characters from 'My Happy Marriage'. They've all go varying superpowers... And as you mentioned Elden Ring...
Dragonborn skills from Skyrim (the ability to use a 'shout' with various attributes).
Infinite resurrection/super from Destiny/Destiny II.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor/War which has Celebrimbor, a powerful wraith spirit (part of the ring-wraiths) who is bound to the protagonist Talion, and offers unique abilities (like becoming a wraith) and lore.

Here is one from a LN that you might not expect, Trapped in a Dating Sim - The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs (the anime wont cover it)

The enemy are demonic creatures that are like AIs that pilot ships. There are human AIs ships as well.

So 100s of years ago, they started to invade Earth, poisoning the planet with mana through rifts in space. Most humans, dubbed Old Humans, were dying because of it, but some were okay, and learned to use magic, joining with the demon side. These were 'New' Humans.

Obviously there is way more to it than that, but you would need to read the books to find EVERYTHING out not a few sentences here.

Anyways;

So your MC's superpower could be something similar to that, has magic in a world without it, and opens rifts to introduce it to others and increases his own power. The poisoning effect is unknown to him, and could be a plot point later when they discover they are actually killing people who are allergic to mana.

I gave my villain two major abilities and some minor ones.

• Ability to summon the undead spirit of any person who has sworn fealty to them in their lifetime in the physical manifestation of stone and mud, mimicking human flesh. This allows him to have an army or council of people to serve and give him advice. While undead, they cannot defy his orders.
• Ability to manifest forged blades out of hard rocks or stones equal in mass to the stone manifested from. This makes any rock a defensive wall, an offensive stabby weapon, and a good launchable weapon.
• Can shapeshift into other humans, but it is unconvincing to the people he knows.
• Technically, he can live for as long as he isn't killed.
• Can ritually sacrifice the life essence of others to keep people alive, equal to that person's life essence(takes days to prepare)

... Gabriel Miller is a curveball for me since the online wikis did not mention this ability. However, I did toyed with this idea because of Steelheart by The Reckoners but ultimately I considered Knox's fear empowerment in Heroes a more viable option.

I try to make sure they are human.

At first yes.

But am slowly expanding the options.

Did you know that in Nine Star Burden, there is actually a monster can causes regional heavypour with the rainwater causing emotional damage that will kill? I do. But am still pondering if I should include said power.

I am actually restricting myself to non-summon types because Zerg Rush is hell and Solo Leveling ruins everything.

I am however am toying with spawnpoints because I want to kill my MC in hilarious ways by stronger enemies.

I think it may have been from the games rather than the anime, but I definitely remember it from something.
Oh, and I can think of one more now. Overhaul from MHA, since you mentioned body horror. The ability itself is really just matter manipulation, but the way he used it might apply.
