IME, people who identify as "vegetarians" are likely to, at worst, give you a dirty look when you eat meat in their presence, but generally accept that their way may not be for everyone.
Those who call themselves "vegan" - and this is just my experience, others may differ - tend to be more militant and get angry if you are not at LEAST a vegetarian.

Used to have a co-worker who was a "work friend" who was a "vegetarian who ate vegan" - he had a strict vegan diet but called himself a vegetarian and acted more the sort (he was a vegetarian because he was an animal lover). The first girl I ever dated was a vegetarian (solely because she just did not like the taste of meat) as well, and we got along well enough. But every vegan I've encountered has been very unpleasant about it if someone even talks about, let alone actually consumes, meat in their presence.

:blob_frown: They are a waste of breath. No one has the authority over what someone eats. If they want to die of diabetes, so be it. Heart attack? Why not.

Just enjoy your life; it's shorter than one may think, and if that means eating some ducks and chickens, so be it!

Lol. Had a friend whose girlfriend was vegan. Met her while on a business trip to Belgium. Had a disagreement about the economics of veganism. She smacked me. Than she smacked my plate of pork chops out of my hands. Than called me a murderer.

I pushed her out of the back of the truck's bed, and she fell and broke her thumb. I called her clumsy.

I lost out on a pretty pricey plate of food, but she lost more. I still see it as a fair trade. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Any kind of extremism is bad, but vegans are certainly very vocal about their extremism. And the ones that do it because "it's better for the planet" are pure hypocrites. Producing vegan meat costs more and causes more pollution than meat meat.

I find it annoying if people don’t respect others dietary preferences.

I find it even more annoying when people try to make their dietary preference into some sort of virtue, without knowing the ecosystems involved.

If you're vegan because of factory farms or animal cruelty or whatever, the logical conclusion is to try and get others to become vegan too, thus reducing the need for animal cruelty. The problem is most vegans suck at getting other people to become vegan.

Tell them you have eating disorder and if you don't eat meat, you will not get sufficent nutrients and most likely die due to organ failure.

WiLL YOU PAY FOR MY FUNERAL, KAREN???

See if Karen will disturb you further. You can proceed to name all the deeds and mortage you own to Karen and ask if they can take responsibility.

Start eating a Slim Jim or beef jerky well describing to them, in great detail, what it tastes like, what the texture is like, and how grateful you are of the animals that gave their all to produce it.

Seriously though, they're allowed there beliefs and if they are not obnoxious I'll even discuss the why's behind it with them. It's the militant ones that give the rest a bad name.

I mean, this is why open carrying a gun or at least a sword should be a thing.

If they can't respect people other than themselves, then their own bodily harm or death should make them understand that they are nothing if others don't see them as humans.

That's what always bothers me,why do you care what others people eat or something.

My first job i had a vegan coworker, not a good feeling working with them lol.
Look them straight in the eye while you feast on that juicy meat. Assert dominance.
This will definitely disgust them.

The entitlement in most vegans and how rudely they react always gives me the ick, feels like punching the shit out of them.
I have similar students.

Now they learned not to mess with someone like me.
Lol,i found "vegan children" are always dangerous because you can't do anything to them without their parents on your ass.

They always have the same arguments like "what did the animal do to deserve this".
Eat even louder
I will try this next time i come across one, hope they will not be disgusted and die.

They like forcing their lifestyles on people especially those vocals and self righteous one's.
Is it not common knowledge that being vegan gives you super power?
Yeah the power of yapping and being a karen lol.

It's a common phenomenon for most extremist.
