Yeah, that's why I was asking partially. It seems that shit ton of people promote themselves by participating in politics/pop culture discussion (and on twitter there doesn't seem to be much difference between the two), and then people that like their replies to some super popular twits sometimes follow them etc. etc.

Or maybe you have to promote your twitter more often in your media? Like "Special image for people that follow me on twitter" or some shit?
I wonder if its even worth it to be honest. Seems like a lot of extra leg-work for access to a very, uh, angry segment of the market. Twitter users aren't known for being calm, considerate people. I think I'm probably just gonna drop it and ignore it entirely, honestly. I'd rather focus my efforts into other 'healthier' channels from which I'd rather draw an audience from.

Twitter can indeed be a valuable tool for authors to promote their work, including novels. It allows you to engage with your readers, share updates, and even reach new audiences.

I cancelled my Twitter account. Why is it still called Twitter? I only used Twitter to find out the next PS5 drop. As soon as I got it from Gamestop I cancelled it... after 2 years. Got my ps5 before the bots.

Thanks Musk, X does not make it extreme enough.

i do. it's not much additional advertising or views or... well, really anything. but it has gotten me like, 5 more reads than i was getting before i started advertising there, so that's something. i figure it takes very little time and effort. Basically, i split it up like this: SH and Wattpad get the heart and soul of my work - my writing. Twitter gets announcements (new chapters, textless coverart, etc), and Subscribestar gets the behind-the-scenes (potential cover art that i decided against, failed AI generations, and nudes of my characters, as well as tier specific rewards, like letters from a chosen character).
