Using twitter?

Basically, how many authors over here have created a twitter account for their novel? I don't use the platform myself, and for mental health reasons, I would like to avoid using it for myself, but an account for chapter updates/polls might be useful.. The only question is if it actually gets used by current readers, and/or potentially invites new readers.

Sorry for rambling language, the once again increased lockdown is affecting my mind.

I don’t write and I don’t have Twitter, but even if I did have both of those things I probably wouldn’t use Twitter to advertise as barely anyone would see it.

Yeah, I use twitter for my latest updates, but not for updates on scribble hub. B/c I don't really want to go through the whole cycle of posting updates on things I've already posted on other sites. I only use twitter for my very latest updates and any new stories I have.

Don't have a novel to promote nor do I use twitter. I'll probably set up discord instead and just use whatever SH has. Or, if I ever do decide to go back to Wattpad, connect it with a link here. And Mirakee.

They are stealing my spotlight! I mean, every other author's spotlight. Even amateurs should be given the time to be noticed, but not even a fraction tend to notice the lower level authors and continue to praise and criticize only those who are at the top! In any case, I'll have to continue sharing other people's work and make sure they're career as a writer become successful.

Yeah, that's why I was asking partially. It seems that shit ton of people promote themselves by participating in politics/pop culture discussion (and on twitter there doesn't seem to be much difference between the two), and then people that like their replies to some super popular twits sometimes follow them etc. etc.

Or maybe you have to promote your twitter more often in your media? Like "Special image for people that follow me on twitter" or some shit?
