Update vs Republish?

I am bothering a lot of people by releasing so many threads. So just choose one below. First read ⬇

Okay so basically. I've been upto some repolishing on my novel(after some Ai slop ruined it) I didn't intentionally use ai. the app I wrote in had it prebuild for spell checks and it changed phrasing so it made my novel unreadable. But now that I've started repolishing it. I've changed a bit too much for it to be just a phrasing correction. Now it begs the question, should I upload my novel again but this time the actually the readable version. Or just update the existing chapters one by one?

Might as well republish with a fresh version. Is it not like you're going to lose many viewers, right? This will at least give you that initial boost, and your new story will appear on the front page for a day (if you are lucky).

If you've only published about ten chapters, it's best to simply update them with rewrites. Initial failure is normal; no author succeeds immediately (except for a few lucky ones, and there are exceptions, of course).

It's true, but with a fresh cover, a new blurb, and the initial boost from releasing a brand new story, he might as well rerelease and hope for a better start. It's not like he has anything to lose from his old stories. Still not a single reader.

That way, he can also upload new chapters, maybe once per day, to get 17 chances for some exposure. (DO NOT dump them all at once!)

I would 100% rerelease it. If the story had some comments, at least a few readers, I would have chosen your route.

That's a reasonable choice. But it also risks diminishing the author's credibility. If an author is so quick to drop her/his fiction while it's still ongoing, is there any guarantee the author won't do the same to other published works simply due to lack of engagement?

Well, all choices are inherently risky. The author must do what's best for her/him.

I would argue that it isn't an issue. He has no readers... so aside from a few Forum users who provided him with helpful advice, no one even knows. He does not have to abandon his old version; he might as well delete it. That way, nobody will take notice.
As I said, he does not have a single Reader, so who is gonna notice?

Still I guess what you are saying is true, but if I were in that kind of position, I would choose 17 bumps + initial Release visibility over perceived credibility any day. It's not like anyone will really notice.

I think I will release it. But this time I will take it slow. 1 Chapter a day keeps the doctor away? ?

I'm not dropping it per se I'm just re-uploading it. And because I'm adding a lot of details/changes it's the best choice to re-upload.
