If by unpopular you mean people believe this and aren't happy about it, then yes, this is an unpopular opinion. If you mean it's unpopular because most would disagree, then no.

That's pretty much the general consensus. People ARE stupid. Period. And it gets worse every year and every generation.

The word stupid and intelligent shouldn't be used to describe people but only their fields of knowledge, the best example are savants.
