Have you ever read a novel/story or watched a show and thought 'wow the author really doesn't like this character'.

Some characters are so unlucky even though it funny in a way you start feeling bad for them.

What's a character the was so unlucky you kind of felt bad for them.(even if you chuckled a little)

The unluckiest character I've seen is seina Tamara from tenchi muyo gxp poor boy

Hmmm...I tend to avoid reading tragedies, but maybe Sansa Stark from Game of Thrones?
She's quite a tragic character.

I read a lot of fan fiction lately.. Ron Weasley is pretty much the most bashed and hated character i've read about in Harry Potter fan fiction.

Well, it might be because Ron was never intended to end up with Hermione, and that he becomes quite unlikable in the last book.
That's a pure guess, though.

They weren't meant to.
J K Rowling intended for Hermione to end up with Harry, but changed it to Ron later on because she wanted to make Harry less special, or something like that. I can't full remember her reasoning.

I think it was the gate of fortune or whatever. Because the mc just kept getting into horrible situations...

Toc the Younger is one of the most unlucky characters in fantasy. The author just keeps on torturing him over and over again. Just won't let him die and rest in peace.

unlucky doesn't necessarily mean tragedy, and the misfortune doesn't necessarily need to happen to the mc.

I'm just talking bad luck event after bad luck egent, that even though it was meant for comedic purposes you start to feel sorry for the characters it happens to~
