Let's be real (pun intended), most of the content in SH isn't top-notch or even passable when it comes to realism. Meditating on a rock under a waterfall isn't going to make you immortal. The laws of science do not support the existence of XP, levels, or cheat items. Yellow suns don't give aliens heat vision.

But THIS is probably the BIGGEST load of crap I've ever seen on this site. For the record, this isn't a story, so someone please report it for me. Rather, it's some self-styled scientific yokel quoting "professionals" who are trying to prove the universe is a hologram.

Read at your own risk. That dude is a total crackhead.

(BTW, this is me partially coming out of my forum hiatus. However, I'll probably go back in very soon due to personal matters)

In ancient times, scientists chased after the illusionary philosopher's stone- a miraculous item that cures any ailment and grants immortality. Modern scientists laugh at them for confusing fiction with facts, science with magic.

Yet, those same scientists make the same mistakes as their predecessors.

It's not a fiction. It's a scientific theory, a variation on simulation hypothesis. If you said it is the conspiracy theory, I wouldn't argue with you. Either way, it would classify as non-fiction, and shouldn't be posted here.

As far as I could tell, the "story" is the similar article on it, not even paper itself.

Since it can't be objectively verified (by any existing methods), it's more of a pseudo-scientific theory...
Technically, the simulation theory isn't science per se, it's philosophy, and a few thousands years old one at that. It just adds modern context of "computers" and "holograms" which used to be "cast shadows" and "dreams".

It's not a good topic for the forum like this. The "philosophy" is only one step away from "religion" and "politics".

Still doesn't change the fact that the guy who posted the text on SH should ask his/her/their doctor about Rexulti.

Wouldn't that count as Science-Fiction and Comedy?

It was most likely the copied article rather than the expression of the one's beliefs. I would blame bots, and scripts don't need antipsychotics.

...and if it was an expression of one's belief, well, believing in conspiracy theory isn't schizophrenia.

Wouldn't that count as Science-Fiction and Comedy?
Only if it was a story.
