In the flicker of moments, a tale unfolds,
Of smiles that turn to sneers, in shadows they mold.
A face, once radiant, now wears a disguise,
Masking the truth behind deceptive eyes.
The warmth of a smile, a veil so thin,
Turns to ice, as the devil lurks within.
Eyes that once sparkled with kindness and light,
Now mirror the darkness, concealed from sight.
A heart that laughed freely at jokes so lame,
Now whispers cold words, casting blame.
Behind the mask, a stranger resides,
Denying access to the truth it hides.
Days once bright, now cloaked in despair,
As the person I knew fades into thin air.
Is this the same shadow that once walked by my side?
Or a twisted reflection, in which truth hides.
The voice, once sweet, now cuts like a knife,
A double-edged face, concealing strife.
In the maze of deception, I search for the real,
But find only illusions, spinning their reel.
