So I've been using Notepad++. You use it to help you find stuff in your own writing. For example, when a story gets over 80 chapters, it becomes work just to remember what you did in previous chapters. You have to be careful and think, wait did I already do this idea before? And when was the last time I referenced X... So using Notepad++, you guys actually reccomended it to me.
However, when I've got a file with literally numbers of chapters in the hundreds its sometimes failing. I don't know why? I'm hoping someone might have a suggestion or explanation why its missing stuff? Like for example, if I search a certain word... sometimes its not finding anything, when there's literally about 400 chapters of a story. That shouldn't happen at all because its just math that when you have 400 chapters of something its going to find useless stuff anyway.
So I wonder... could it be possible that its not finding just chapters that are really old, written a long time ago? (The longer story I have I'd first posted and started writing on in 2016...) so maybe that's an issue?
Or Another alternative is, does it start to not be able to work as well if there's too many files in the same file folder? (hundreds of chapters...)
I've had it work with Libreoffice before,...but I'll ask to be safe, does it maybe glitch on finding things in libreoffice? (which is free. If you need a word processing suite, libreoffice is free).
