Seeing a face on a window or in the trees, only to take a second look and realizing it's just an imprint on the surface of the object.

hearing your name called behind your back, just to turn around and wonder if it was just the wind.

Going back to retrieve an object you set down, only to find it in a totally different room.Despite not going in that room recently.

do our human minds just like us tricking ourselves? Is it the result of paranoia, despite these things happening to quite a few people? Maybe it could be something hidden, that loves tricking humans and making them worried instead, a something that takes enjoyment from human fear and confusing?

Tl:dR- have you ever freaked yourself out only to laugh about it afterwords? If so any examples?
