They probably stung harder because of how much I like said show until a certain point.

There is also a list of shows/stories that are hyped and loved that I never watched because what I saw of them never really made me think: "Huh, I want to watch it."

Everything isekai automatically wanders into my trash can, but I guess I have some raccoon ancestors somewhere, so some get read along the way. Mostly the "strange" ones that either don't have harems (yes, some weebs nowadays call isekai series without harems strange!) or are just unintendedly funny, like so bad they're good again.

Like watching the English dub of The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic; it's gloriously trashy. I watched the first episode and thought someone replaced it with an Abridged version

I usually do not remember much about works I do not enjoy. However, I have noticed that a disturbing number of manga have been glorifying slavery lately. Call me old fashioned, but slavery=evil was a basic foundation of how I was taught morality.

There are only two that come to mind for me right now. The Last Wish and Neyra's Dragon.

The first is because it has the Usain Bolt of endings. We have everything from a conspiracy, an attempted coup, the previous emperor revealing he's a terrible human being, the enthronement of a new Emperor/Empress, a pregnancy, a wedding, a revelation about another important family, an Empress suddenly becoming non-autistic through the power of love and a weird magic tree. The writer compressed nearly a quarter of the book into the last few chapters.

And the second because nothing makes sense in the story. Main character ends up going from being a spoiled nobody to an immortal queen who then resets time so she can live a happy life with her human family.... only for it to be revealed that she's related to the royal family and not to her happy human family which makes a potential threat for the throne. And she's still connected to her immortal god hubby so despite all the bonkers things that happened in her previous life with him because of him, she still chose to end up with him again in the second life.
