i'm looking for a novel with a necromancer MC. not the kind of necromancer that "oh i summon 1-10 strong undead so i'm a necromancer", but the kind that "i'm a necromancer and i have 1000-10000 (or more) undead army". the kind of necromancer that can devastate an army on his own, but will have trouble against a party of strong guy. something like "Seoul Station Necromancer" or "Solo Leveling" in the terms of the undead army

I actually can't remember reading one like that recently. I'm currently writing a story with two "Necromancers" in it though. Well, actually, one is a lich (and the God of War, with an unnumbered Army of the undead), the other is the protagonist, but he simply controls souls and can reanimate, he doesn't actually raise "undead" people, because he can't. Whatever he creates "lives" - even as it rots away.

Not sure, most storys i remmber having a undead rising guy ether went elite route or had a focus in some other thing... cant remmber name but there was one where he controlld 100,000's of undead, but they were more of a filler while a few tens of powerfull or sentient undead were focusd on and were only ones to matter... would be fun to read a propper bad guy army rising national enemy type of mc

Me too, and ones that would have very strict requirements for the ritual like where the guy would need 3 days to dance and sing around the body, or that the body must not be 1 week since it died, or that he needs to be the one that killed the undead to be summoned.

And there's no storage for the undead. Just dead smelly dudes following you.

Anyway, Kill the Hero had a necromancer MC where he had armies of skellies, so check that. The manhwa is finished, it has some differences with the novel but mostly just for the side characters and extending epilogue.

I'd like to suggest other books but they're not really what you're looking for. Necromancy just happens to be the gimmick but not the driving point of those stories (e.g. Gideon the Ninth-tedious to read, Overlord - the Jap one).

Everlast Online might fit (not sure how much, MC is necromancer, has a few really strong undead, but also has a ton of normal ones)
