I never assume that any of my 'readers' read my story anyways so...

Who knows? Maybe nobody is reading it. But that's fine, because at least I am. If a single person enjoys it, then that's fine by me. Oh hey, I am a single person. Great. If there happen to be more, even better.

You know, I don't mind them at all as an author actually. If we're talking about the system Scribble Hub has. Even if a reader puts your story on their "reading list" and never reads it, it still has the potential to catch the eyes of others who may be searching through other people's "reading list." It might be minor but a bit of exposure is better than no exposure.

As a reader ...well I'm sure just looking at my various 1/XX would tell you something. But then again because I have them on my list there's the chance someone could search through my reading list and be like "huh, I didn't know this exists :blobtaco: " and find something they enjoy out of it. There's been a couple of times to date that I've searched other authors' reading list and saw something that looked interesting. So, I placed it on my read list. Will I ever get back to it? Maybe not but just the gesture of spreading the exposure to the scribble hub community is just fine with me.

I don't expect all the "readers" I have to be actually reading the work I make. That's unrealistic. But there are various stories that I see that certainly need exposure and I'm sure just the act of showing an increase in readership puts a smile on the author's face. :blob_aww:

This is a good heads up for new authors like me in sh. It always motivates me even with a little one like thanking me for the chapter. I even plan on releasing two chapters at my 100 reader mark. XD

Knowing not all readers are actually reading is really fine and that should not really stop anyone from pursuing their interest or hobby.

Personally, I don't really care that much if a reader comes and read my story or not. Not like it's gonna change anything. I do check whoever became a new 'reader' and send some messages thanking them but that's when I felt like it.

The reason why I write is because I love to write and I find it fun and entertaining. Seeing my own ideas slowly come together is something that is fun to see(well, for me at least). Whether the readers who would occasionally drop by would enjoy my story or not is up to them. Not like I'm being paid for it or anything, anyway.
