Its a comedy series, not to be taken seriously. As all the entertainment and fictions products that exist in this world.

Although it has been done before, I believe that the OPM series started the trend of this type of writing. Experts used to advise against writing overpowered protagonists because they can become monotonous, but OPM defied this advice and did well. I have noticed that the author used several techniques to keep it interesting. One of them is focusing more on other characters. Another one would be showing that the protagonist has internal conflicts and mental dissatisfaction despite being physically overpowered. In addition, characters have unique abilities. Like the author brought martial arts, psychic powers, Samurai, monsters, cyborgs etc and combined almost all type fighting elements to the story. This variety of fighting style increases the chances of vs battles. Viewers will be interested to know "Who would win if a Samurai battles a Ninja or a martial artist battles a cyborg?"

Haven’t looked at it in years, read it all then read all of the webcomic that was out, so going back to the manga now is mostly pointless until it catches up.

One Punch Man?
Uh... I dunno. Seems like a deconstruction to me. It's about some bald guy who can punch things and wins in one punch, right? I've seen memes about it.

Good for a laugh with an omnipotent MC.

Stopped for awhile due to how BS OPM's power level is.

Though the fan theory is nice though. As Saitama is reaching godhood, what will be lost is his humanity. Kind of like Dr Manhatten but we as the reader gets to witness the slow, arduous descent.

Alright. Kinda anticlimactic because the MC always won in a single punch. Not quite my style.

Amazing story, king of bangers. The character designs are way too amazing. And the animation quality of the fights was just mmmmm, chef's kiss! Manga is ultra beautiful too.

never watched it, never read it, but from what I have gathered from the floating bits of it here and there, the aetting is a despair-inducing unresolvable situation

Love it.

The irony of MC not hiding his skills, yet is still undiscovered like those pretentious "I have to hide my skills because reason xyz" shounen protagonists.

Also, every character has some color and isn't some flat blank paper characterization wise. They have depth, flaws, and a background story.

After stockpiling since mangastream's disbanding, I binged through approx. 100 chaps two weeks ago. Have to say I had good timing. The arc with Garo and Monster Association just came to its conclusion, so I can stockpile in peace again.

I was super into it a few years ago but now I hate it, just watch the first season of the anime to get the best OPM experience and stay clear of the rest.

My biggest gripe is that the manga focuses way too much on other characters, you'll have some random guy fighting some random monster for 2 - 3 chapters just so another random guy can fight another random monster for 2 - 3 chapters, and so on for months and years.
It's like a michael bay transformers movie, the art itself is great and the fights are cool, but thats it, the manga has nothing else to offer.

Cool, love the art ..but the story is good too..but this arc is too long
Are you talking about the Monster Association Arc? If so, then that arc just ended around 2-3 months ago.
