Thoughts on a story idea?

I want to write a short 160-200 page story about the healing nature of food and cooking for people. The idea though is that I would choose 6-8 recipes to make up a full meal using whatever materials I can write into the world. At the end of each arc(20-30 pages) I'll put the full recipe but spend a good chunk of the story describing the characters making the food. It would basically be a cooking blog, fiction edition. Any thoughts?

Is it cooked by a cute gender bent isekai harem leader in a fantasy land? lol.
haven't decided yet. Probably not because it's not my style but maybe the fantasy land.
Why make it fantasy? Is there any merit to it? Of there is not, then it is a demerit
It doesn't have to be. I haven't decided yet. I have to pick the recipes first and then base the setting on the food types.

What kind of recipes should I use? I need enough for a full meal. An hors d'oeuvre, soup, appetizer, salad, main course, palate cleanser, dessert, and mignardise. Give me some ideas and I'll find some good recipes.
I recently tried the french onion soup. It was ok but I didn't like it much. Do more vegetarian recipes (not vegan those people are insane and not in a good way). The pumpkin pie is something I like. To be pg-13 you'll have to remove the main ingredient - a mix of a dozen childrens' souls but even like that it's okay.

Sounds great!???

Inspiration ideas to ignore:
make a joke recipe that is the nastiest thing ever as part of an alcohol drinking chapter or something, where they are making things based off dares.
Make Tteok-bokki and sushi. Is super tasty and surprisingly easy.?
Describe a few chapters with different themes of aesthetics and metaphors.
Describe a few chapters with different writing styles and thinking processes.
Make one recipe a aerial plane fight scene, and another a medieval architectural scene, interspersing recipe making in the funniest of ways!

It depends on ingredients and culture.
I was gonna base the setting on the menu. I'll try to match ingredients with their region but I may be able to explain some inconsistencies away with plot and worldbuilding.

Potatoes and Deer. Maybe wine as base. First recipe should be on a campfire. Hearty soup, bread, desert, and drink

Can show him gathering material as he heads to a city, and he uses his small supply of flour and other foods in mixture of gathered foods. Also hunting

He preps the stew and as it slowly cooks he prepares the bread for the coals. And he also makes a dessert by probably honey and such. Did people bring honey why they traveled back then? Think it was sugar.

He has probably tea brewing or coffee
