Does anybody play Doki-doki Literature Club?

I played today and Sayori girl killed herself. I didn't expect the stake to be so high and she f*cking died. And I feel like I neglected her. I wanted to restart but all save files are gone. So I wanted to start a new game and focus on Sayori but it's bugged too. Also, it's glitching. WTF is this game. It's full of bugs. How do I fix this?

its just the way the game is. keep playing. you get no restarts.
Yeah, I realized the glitches are part of the game. This isn't a dating sim. It's psychological horror. I downloaded this for casual playing. How unexpected.

if you want something more dating sim-y, and less horror try.. Katawa Shoujo.
the mc you play as is annoying at times, but the 'dates' are cute in their own ways.

Ah, yes. That monstrosity. To anyone that's heard of it before (not necessarily even played it), that game is infamous for luring people in by pretending to be a cute dating sim, only to drown them in a sea of psychological horror.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, your decisions didn't matter. Whichever route you picked, whichever response you picked the day before, Sayori would've died anyway.

Hey guys, have you heard of this obscure, practically unknown movie called The Ring? I think it might be c- c- c- cursed!

Bro don't you need to fuck around putting horror themed shit in your poems to get to those parts? The game is a pretty generic but a decent dating sim VN otherwise. Also surprised that anybody that is even aware of dating sim visual novels doesn't know about DDLC.

DDLC is overrated, especially without the DLC. ?

It's a fun VN if you go in unsuspecting. But I played it right after playing Totono, which is a Japanese VN that pulls the same stuff DDLC does, but IMO better. But it is pretty lengthy. Around 10x or more the length of Doki², depending on your reading speed.

Interesting glitch! You should keep playing, see if you find any more bugs that may seem out of the ordinary :blob_popcorn: let us know what you find.

You'd be surprised. These days, DDLC doesn't get a ton of publicity, meaning if you download the game off steam just looking for a dating sim, DDLC seems like just a cute choice. Especially if you didn’t really use the internet much back 5+ years ago when it was actually relevant.
