How could something ever surpass this!?

But, just today, I came across another card,

Collecting them all will spawn a big bad that steals them, corrupts them and gives the corrupted versions to their underlings. Now you have to win against those underlings collect the now-un-corrupted-but-somehow-more-powerful-than-before ones and confront the big bad. After winning you get an eding screen saying that season one is now over and everything that happened gets a soft-reset so you can have some of the former underlings join you in your new quest to collect totally different ones that are even more powerful and make your old ones obsolete. After maybe 5 seasons of more or less doing the same you then might get an arc where you might have to do something different but still need to have collected all by the end.

Congratulations, you're now in shounen arc hell
