Why not start reading the ones that are there?

I do read the ones there. The problem is that I add ongoing stories to the list, and they become hiatus stories, and there's no point in reading something abandoned that will get no conclusion. I have started the slow and painful process of removing stuff that has been in a hiatus for 3+ years and 404 stories.
