I'm winning currently by doing nothing under the guise of "preparing design"

Wouldn't the chance of encountering a coffee world be practically infinitesimally small and if it isn't wouldn't that be boring.

Caffeine is an alkaloid, which is a natural pesticide. It is toxic for insects even in small amounts. Evolution of the coffee was about deterring insects from eating the seeds (aka beans). There's a big chance that some plant, being offended by insects develops caffeine as a deterrent against insects, and based on that there's a big chance that some fauna could have coffee substitute.

... Sigh, you guys are crushing my dreams of moth mommies being a thing in fantasy worlds.

What's the chance the fantasy worlds would have edible food or breathable air? An earth-like fantasy world is earth-like for a reason. However, if you want no coffee in your fantasy world you can be that person. In fact, fantasy worlds lacking certain things can be an interesting world building point.

MOO

But as soon as I find out your fantasy world doesn't have coffee in it, I'm dropping. lol jk
