Can confirm, I let honesty take over very long ago. Now, I find funny ways to say things I'm not supposed to say, but without lying. Like :
"So, did he tell you if he likes me or not ???"
Me : "You see, once upon a time there was this woman who was talking to a friend's crush. And, in this hypothetical story, the crush might have said..."

It's very funny. People are screaming at me saying I shouldn't have said the thing, but I'm like 'I didn't say anything, I just told a story"
