My first smartphone broke after approx. 2 years and I had to buy a new one

well broke mine phone 6 years ago when I droped it by some rock which cracked the screen but still it worked

I didn't drop it or anything. I was using it when it suddenly shut down and restarted in 10-seconds intervals.
It was working just fine but then? It's like the manufacturer rigged it.

Did you hear about the possible Chinese spyware in Samsung phones? Wouldn't surprise me if stuff manufacturers installed made the lifespan of a phone worse.

They do not need to install software, just a cheap chip is enough. It'll break on its own in due time.
