You need to know that the WHO recommends breastfeeding for at least two years. You need to know that breastfeeding is healthy for the mother, too! If Mom had gestational diabetes, it often takes longer for her milk to come in. However, breastfeeding for at least two months cuts her risk of type 2 diabetes in half! Nursing even longer reduces the risk even more!

i think i speak for a small quadrant of the community when I say that while it's very commendable and cheery that you take motherhood this seriously and that we're happy for you, we REALLY don't need a near bidaily update on, well, the breastfeeding. knowing it once or twice is great but by the third time it just seems odd. like a fixation. a really healthy fixation, but it's like promoting civil rights in an abortion clinic. there's a place for it.
