You know I'm beginning to think that Umineko might be your favorite instead of Steins:Gate.

It is hard to describe, Umineko is no where close to a perfect story. Comparing the two is like comparing the Les Miserables to Sherlock Holmes, it can be done but they are quite different. Steins;Gate is a significantly cleaner story. However Umineko is a much deeper story. Steins;Gate is also burdened by Steins;Gate 0, while not bad it pulls it down imo. At its worst Umineko is still better than 0 imo. After watching/reading Steins;Gate 3x you have got the majority of the story. For Umineko I am on my 4th rewatch/reread and am still finding new things. Do I prefer Umineko to Steins;Gate? I don’t know, I would rather rewatch the S;G anime than reread Umineko, but Umineko is Umineko. You cannot really compare it to anything, at least imo.
