I'm winning currently by putting this to 100% to reduce the noise from the printing:

There was a typo because of the need to redact a certain stat. You're actually not dumb! Okay! Feel better now?

While I can’t say I've ever really used Honeyfeed, I will admit the grand prize they gave out for winning their isekai writing contest last year was pretty cool. I think they announced the winner yesterday, and it was about a guy getting isekaid with his dog, but it turns out he's a loser and his dog is the hero or something. I believe the winner actually gets their story published as a LN by Kadokawa, and a 5K dollar prize.

I know right, who wants to read about some guys dog being the hero. Not jealous or anything. ?

Unironically, I don't. I feel like that was the worst sounding one on the list of finalists, and there was one about a grandma baking cookies in another world. On the one hand, at least it isn't just another power fantasy. On the other hand, it is another one about a loser being isekaid with someone else who's insanely overpowered. I mean, there's one about the protagonist's big sister (got an anime), one about the protagonist and his mom (got an anime), and a bunch of others where the dude just basically builds a harem to do the fighting for him. So sure, why not a dog, too?

Mine was called out for violating the spirit of isekai while being an isekai, but not following the right tropes of an isekai, being too descriptive without enough character insight and not staying with main characters religiously. So I don't know. I don't write good. I liked it a lot.

If anything, it was the most original narrative in the entire contest. I wanted something that wouldn't read like every other isekai.?

Though that's what the readers wanted, soooo. ?

You entered it? I literally just started writing my first isekai, so I wouldn't have been able to enter even if I wanted to... (I wanted to)

I went crazy writing it from scratch trying to finish on time while still working.
