I'm winning-nya!!!

The wind’s chill sharpened every nerve, but all I felt was the warmth of her body pressed against mine. Her lips met mine again, softer this time, as if she feared to break the fragile world we’d created in that moment. I tasted the lingering sweetness of her, a hint of mint and something faintly floral, as our breaths mingled in gentle puffs of mist.

My hands moved of their own accord—one curling around the nape of her neck, the other sliding down to cradle her waist—pulling her closer until the cold air could no longer reach where our bodies met. Her arms encircled me, tentative and trembling, as though she were afraid I might vanish if she held me too tightly. But I was there. I was real.

A soft sigh escaped her lips and she deepened the kiss, threading her fingers through my hair and drawing me in. In the hush between our breaths, I remembered every lonely step that had led me to this moment—every tear, every empty night—and felt them dissolve under the gentle onslaught of her tenderness.

Time stretched and warped: the grass at our feet whispered secrets, the moonlight painted her hair silver, and I could almost hear my own heartbeat, loud and unsteady, echoing through my chest. When she finally broke the kiss, her forehead rested against mine, and I could feel the slow, steady drum of her pulse under my fingertips.

Her eyes, shimmering in the pale light, searched my face as if seeking reassurance that this wasn’t a dream. My chest tightened with a bittersweet ache—joy tinged with the knowledge that moments this perfect slip away too quickly. I brushed a stray lock of hair from her brow and whispered her name into the quiet night, where only the wind and our shared silence bore witness to the fragile truth of our hearts.
