Btw are you still at work or did they bring you back?
I am on call atm. Essentially at home, but can be called in if needed. Have you got any further in the Steins; Gate VN?

I only watched a tiny bit of the anime so I only know very little about it besides it also being in a watchmojo top ten yandere video.
It is a good mystery/thriller, at least the VN’s, it isn’t really scary but is quite sad. I do recommend the VN’s with the 07th mod, haven’t seen the anime but heard it was abit rushed.

I wouldn't be surprised, from my perspective anime VN adaptions are probably notoriously done with the intention that the people seeing it had already seen the VN or are banking at the thought that they would want to see the VN, since I don't think I've truly seen a fleshed out VN adaption ever.

Steins;Gate’s anime is mostly faithful to the VN, and is a fairly good adaptation and it is made for both people who have and haven’t read the VN. It is also long enough to accurately adapt the VN, granted the VN has way more depth and the like, but as far as adaptations go I would say that it is quite successful.

Wait did I mess up I swear it was like that for a lot of anime adaptions.

It is accurate to my knowledge, for example the anime adaptation of ChäoS;HEAd, Steins;Gate is the second game in the SciADV franchise ChäoS;HEAd is the first, is notoriously bad.
