Here, A good sized pizza of high quality costs 45$.
I could buy a 18-inch (46cm) sportsman that could feed 4 overweight Americans or 6-8 regular people for about $26 here. Assuming I go with 3 other overweight Americans like myself, that's $6.50 per person to fill their stomachs. If I were a regular person and went with 5 other regular people, then it'd be $4.33 per person to fill their stomachs.

Then for a 50cm pizza the price is not too bad.

I can buy for that similar price but I need to make it myself lol. Too bad spending such amount of money for pure carbs is cringe. I can buy food for a week for three people for such money and still have money for sugary drinks lol

A pizza with pepperoni or Italian sausage has more protein
Note: there's no italian sausage in my area. Italy is 4000 km away, and only beef and meh sausages is there. Beef is expensive, but for 26$ I can buy 3kg of it lol

I am also very far from Italy; Italian sausage is just what people call pork sausage. Italians and Spaniards would eat pork to prove they weren't Muslim during the time the Mediterranean was full of conflict.

Yeah, probably that's why. My country is 2/3 muslim and there's no pork unless you go to the city centers. Pork as industry is small compared to beef, and prolly that's why both are expensive lol.

I'm winning currently by deciding to eat pilaf for today

That definitely explains why you have no Italian sausage and pepperoni, but it still doesn't explain why pizza is so expensive in your area (every country will make a variant with local toppings, like how Canada added pineapples to pizza and then tried to frame Hawaii for it; the Hawaiians are innocent in all that).
