In one of the games, I think you can start a fire by making cereal.

Make a pool, invite the entire neighborhood for a pool party, remove ladders from the pool. Death will come back.

That's the Sims 3. In Sims 4 they can climb out from the pool even when there's no ladder. Walls + fire + pool is the current meta lol
