I got hooked on drawing in 2013. I was 12 years old at that time. I watched Love Live School Idol Project, and immediately hooked. I watched Animax, Disney Channel, CN, and Nickelodeon. When I watched LL, I just whoa, never watched an animated series like that. The colour, the character, etc. So I wanted to draw those characters as I fell in love.
This was my first attempt to draw.
Maki is the best girl, with Kotori the runner-up
After that, I drew some characters, but based on what I saw.
I saw some posts on a Facebook group, that some artists scanned their drawings and lineart digitally. So tried that.
I saved my allowance to buy a pen tablet. However, 14-year-old me didn't know anything about a pen tablet, so I bought a Genius Pen for $40.
And it was dissaster, I couldn't draw anything with that Pen Tablet.
I didn't use that pen again.
Later, my sister wanted to buy me a new smartphone, yet I had a phone, a Samsung Galaxy Mini, and I was 14-15 years old, which was still good. So I told her to change the phone with Wacom Pen Tablet. She bought me the Wacom Pen Tablet CTH-490 with Clip Paint Studio Key. At that time, I didn't use CSP. I am still using that Pen Tablet until now.
I just fell in love with the Pen; it wasn't like the Genius Pen.
Fast forward, my drawing was about anime, or maybe trying semi-realism in sketch. So 5 years ago, I explored different styles.
It brought me to more concept art and character design than illustration. With this exploration, I didn't feel shy about style. As I looked at every drawing, every character art, somehow I could see behind that drawing. What is the story of this character? What is the personality of the character?
My exploration of line or style 5 years ago was to train my perception to visual, silhouette, personality, and color. Now I didn't see art or drawing as just good and bad; I would say and think everything about that drawing in design language.

Glen Keanne and Jin Kim are my main references and inspirations for character design and concept art.
So what is the journey of your line?
