From time to time I find stories of scribble hub in which the author claims full copyright, telling us that copying any part of their story violates the copyright law.
But then they go ahead and tell us that they got their cover picture for their novel from somewhere on the Internet. And if the original creator wants it gone he/she should just notify the author.
Just like here: https://www.scribblehub.com/series/255452/caring-mother/
What the hell!? If author steals art from the Internet he or she should also be willing to be stolen from. By logic of the author it would be perfectly fine to copy authors story to a different platform and to benefit from it monetarily, claiming I would take it down the instant the original author found it and tells me to remove it.
*Sigh*
Hypocrisy at its best.
Cheers

PS.: just felt the need to rant a little.
I am Cheer. Cheer is here. What do you need? Oh! The picture thing. Yeah. Usually, the procedure is if the picture was already explicitly stated that you are free to use then go ahead. If not, I will try to contact the author. Unless I receive the permission, I never use a picture that is not mine. It is spiritually, religiously and morally wrong to infringe the divine power behind an authorship.
