Do you mean like, fun edgy? Or boring edgy?
Because I love edgy, and I have a whole collection of edgy babies.
Eminence of Shadow wins hands down.
But 'My Death Flags Show No Sign of Ending' is the most memorable. I remember thinking this was the best novel ever in my middle school phase. Then I went back to it after five years, and it was so cringey that I vomited. The manga is better, but the novel is unspeakable.
I think The Girl Who Ate a Death God, technically qualifies? Along with The Girl who Bore the Flame Ring, the Girl who Fell from the Polar Star, and The Girl Raised by the Death God Holds the Sword of Darkness in Her Arms. Yeah, I read the entire series, lmao. All about different ladies in different wars. And add the Yojo Senki anime, my fav.
And maybe Demon Noble Girl~Story of a Careless Demon, and Ouroboros Record~Circus of Oubeniel. But these are
good edgy.
Time to open my personal collection. lol
-Eminence in Shadow and Arifureta. Love the edge, embrace the edge.
-Dungeon Seeker.
-Fixed Damage.
-Failure Frame. Tho I'm pretty biased on this one.
-Garbage Brave.
-Dungeon Dive. Does this count?
-I found Durarara and Baccano kinda edgy, but I personally found "a bit of edginess" being an "ingredient" in gangster-media. Makes it more slick, colorful, and cool.
-The Otome Heroine's Fight for Survival. I really like this one. Has similar vibes to Iron Widow, except the romance part
-I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too. Does this count? It's more cringey self-insert tho.
-Dragon's Chain of Ori.
-unOrdinary
-Bones
-Green worldz
-How to Build a Dungeon: Book of the Demon King
-There was one story where the MC does a "dual wielding reverse grip katana" style, but I forgot the title.
-2 stories where the Hero was Betrayed and got Revived.
-2 stories where the Hero returned to their world with their abilities but somehow their parents died in an accident at chapter 1.
...I was already shocked when someone called Solo Leveling boring edgy. Me and my brother both devoured the entire manga series. But now you're telling me Otome Heroine's Fight for Survival is edgy too?
Welp, guess I'm still in my edgy phase.
