What’s the best time zone?

I’d say the best time zone in regard to being able to interact with many people is Central Europe since they are in a large population area and are 8 hours away from both east Asia and Americas, allowing them to talk to Americans and Asians.

Your logic is a little faulty because if Europe is 8 hours away from both Asia and America, then Asia is 8 hours away from both Europe and America, and America is 8 hours away from both Europe and Asia (that's some funky non-euclidean math, eh?).

I'd probably agree with you if I didn't have an uncle in Canada; there is actually an 8 hour difference between our time zones. Saying that I can talk with him is technically correct, but in reality he is at work when we're free here, and when he finishes work, we're already asleep. We can talk for longer than a short chat only on weekends in the afternoon and in the evening, and even then either side is often busy with things.

I say that as long as the time difference is 4~5 hours or less, so across a single continent except for Asia, then there are no major problems, but above that things start to be incredibly inconvenient.

Though if I had to choose the best time zone, I think it would be somewhere around western Asia.

The best time zone is the one you currently reside in.
How else would you tell the time? Oh it's 4:00 in Azerbaijan. Cool for them, but what time is it here?

No. Asia and America is 8 hours away from Europe. But 12 hours away from each other.
