If you are of the belief that care is a BINARY STATE, then I suppose. However, is care a binary state, or does it exist on a continuum?

If we set care to an arbitrary numerical value, it exists from zero to N. Where N is maximum care. With my original statement there was a stated state, and an implied state. You Write, You Don't Write.

If you write, my level of care will be X, which is a number between zero and N. X is the maximum amount of care I will contribute to this issue.

If you don't write, my level of care COULD BE LESS. There is a heavily implied indicator that it WILL BE LESS, but I am unwilling to commit to a specific amount of less care at this time. However It will be X-Y, where Y is 0 to X.

HOWEVER, what would my level of care be if X=Y? Answer: Zero.

What does zero level of care look like? Well, at the very least, I wouldn't even bother to type a response. I cannot have a level of care equal to zero and still type out a response. Furthermore, what state would I have to be in to achieve a true care level of zero? Answer: DEAD.

Only someone who is dead can truly care at a level of zero. Any statement to claim, I care ZERO about something, is LOGICALLY FALSE, BECAUSE YOU CARED ENOUGH TO STATE THAT YOU CARED ZERO.

To even discuss a topic means you have a NON-ZERO level of care about a topic. Since this amount has some fluctuation as time progresses, this non-zero amount is therefore a constantly changing level that actually would increase through observation. The act of observing and discussing changing the amount of emotionally investment. We can know how much you care in a snap shot of time, but we can never know your true emotional level of investment in the now, because it will change, by the very act of trying to measure it.

ERGO, it is impossible to make the claim that "You could not care less." Unless you are planning on dying at that exact moment, and if you are planning on killing yourself, please don't.

However, if you subscribe to Absolutist Memetic Theory, then you would believe that care is binary state, therefore you care, or you do not care, and then you would make the claim that "You could not care less." But I think that is rubbish. AMT has been disproved time and time again. Care can only be subjectively measured, not objectively measured.

I have a very simple argument that renders yours completely null.

It's just how the conventions of English are; how it has been agreed upon. Tough noogies to anyone who disagrees.

Personally, I don't normally review something unless I at least enjoyed yet to some extent.

Usually a 3 is my lowest rating for a proper review, meaning good story that is not amazing in any particular way. Or a good story that may do a couple things really well, but it held back by multiple big flaws.

As most things are. Reviews are a field with lots subjective parts to it. So either way, it's an interesting topic to think about. :blob_cookie:
