My first anime was Haruhi Suzumiya, and I had too many mixed feelings about it. Mostly I just recall always waiting for something cool to happen only for the story arc not to end up where it should have gone. It was mostly just a 'they could have done so much with this and that, but didn't' experience.

Luckily my second anime wasn't as bad.

Yu-GI-Oh! Back then, I didn't even know what an anime was. Just that I liked the card game XD.

I got introduced in one day with Yu Yu Hakusho, Sailor Moon, Zatch Bell, and Cardcaptor Sakura. Got obsessed with Cardcaptor Sakura. Gave up on Sailor Moon. The ending of the english run of Zatch Bell left a bitter taste in my mouth. Even so when I finally read the manga a few years ago. Yu Yu Hakusho is still top-tier.
