Hey guys!
As you probably figured out from the title, I have some questions about a webnovel-site called Tapas. I'm considering to post there my novel (urban fantasy, slightly romantic, modern days, kinda lot of action, etc, check it out it's called Montgomery and Carano) even though I will have to take some of my chapters into two parts because of their silly 15k character rule.
Does any of you have any experience with the site? Anyone from here posting there? Is it worth a shot? What kind of and how big of an audience I can expect with a novel like mine?

You could try it. In my experience with it, I think it's a little slower in getting reads and followers. And it doesn't really do well with advertising your stuff like with SH. But yeah, you could give it a shot. I removed mine because of...well...I have adult stuff in there. They might not be lenient with even curse words either. But see what you can do, maybe things will work out.

You will definitely need quite a bit of time to get followers there since searching for stuff is kinda complicated and most people actually go there for the comics and not the novels. If you want to give it a try, you should make sure that you have a really good cover that fits in with the aesthetic of the site since that likely has a really big influence there (again, you're competing against artists). You can gain some dedicated readers though.

If you're interested in earning a bit, Tapas is also a good option with the ad program and - more importantly - the opportunity of your readers supporting you with the site's currency (that they can earn or pay for) after you hit a certain subscriber count. You don't have to be exclusive for either of that. There is also the option to sign a contract if your story fits a few requirements (e.g., being >80k words). You just need to apply.

One thing to definitely take note of is that the majority of the audience on Tapas uses the app. The app does not support mature content. So if you're writing a lot of smut or gore: Either don't bother or censor the heck out of it.

As always: Posting consistently helps. You should just make sure to not post more than one chapter a day (possibly even if you have to cut them in two to fit the character limit) to get the maximum amount of visibility since you only end up once on the 'fresh' section per day.

I haven't had very good luck on Tapas. Honestly the big exciting part of their site is that they promise to help you make comics. But if you've seen their comics, you'll see they rapidly degrade in quality the more chapters in you get. It doesn't seem that they really care about producing high quality stuff. I have had the most success on SH and RR, tho I haven't really given WN a fair shake to find out how I do there.

I'm posting mine there, but I can't add pictures when it's classified as a novel, so that part sucks. I heard there's some sort of workaround for that feature, but I haven't been able to figure it out. I just tell people to come to Scribble Hub if they want to see the illustrations in my story.

I actually moved from Tapas to SH, I still upload there but meh... I get more people viewing my Novel here. Tapas main feed doesn't look like it encourages people to read the newest novel, and you have to actively search out of your readers, so you as the author is literally chasing the readers to get them to read your story there! Unless you get featured then you'll be able to gain a lot of readers.

I considered Tapas before uploading here, but the character limit and the content restrictions are both a big drawback for me. I write stories for adults, with adult themes including sex and violence. Posting on Tapas would have required gutting a lot of the story.

Yeah, those are exactly the reasons I decided against posting there. Sure, you could just break your chapters into two or three parts but the other restrictions are annoying too.
