Taboo/Illegal tags??

Just out of curiosity, how are certain tags allowed? Like loli/shota, Incest, and others like them that are technically illegal taboos? I mean, i get that in fiction all things are legal. But it just seems a bit too... Much. Although that could just be the prevalence of smut on this site (and the fact that I write smut).

Loli and shota tags are not for lewd. It means you have a loli or shota characters in a story.

Age of Consent - The age of consent is 18+. This is referring to the real age of the character. Any sexual content between characters must abide by this age of consent.

Incest is taboos only in our era, back then it was used to having a "pure blood". What make it really taboos for us are the fact that child born from incest have a high risk of birth defects and certain hereditary diseases.

On the other hand, shota and loli are different, if your loli are a legal loli no one will complain about it, same for the shota. If they are not, then there no smut with them.
In fact, in real life, it exist woman and man who are small and seem underaged when they are not, with some of them being in the 25+ years and passing to a 14 year old.

Ask about 10 people, if at least 3 of them thinks it's fine (in the context of novel writing) then it's fine.

Why not? Like I said previously, the real problem with incest are the birth of child, other than that, its just two people that know better each other.

so basically just lead with "This chapter contains [insert questionable material]. Neither the author or the work itself support or encourages this behavior outside the realm of fiction."

Why not? Like I said previously, the real problem with incest are the birth of child, other than that, its just two people that know better each other.

I was mostly thinking sister-sister, so birth of a child is a non-issue

I would say no because it isn't explicitly stated anywhere that it is based somewhere and follows their laws only that they follow all laws they need too, and since prostitution isn't illegal everywhere it should be fine. Should just use the genres for adult, mature, ecchi, Smut. Also a tag exist for prostitutes...

They aren’t uncommon subjects in literature. Flowers in the Attic sold over 40 million copies, and Game of Thrones is wildly popular.

Fiction is a pretty normal place to explore dark and taboo subjects.

I write about the family Eden--yes, from the Garden-so incest is definitely a theme. I'm rather reluctant about marking it as a theme. I took martial arts off my Sable Valiant series because I feared it would confuse the cultivation crowd. And an incest ta would create expectations from an audience very familiar with Japanese Light Novel themes. I might have to add it later.
