Does anyone know someone who would be willing to take a stab at this idea see where it goes??

MC reincarnates in a HarryPotter/StarWars/Stargate mixed verse where Force = Magic it's just different approach/application
MC is the son of a U.S. soldier? and a art/music teacher?
Dad is attached to an embassy in Europe which is why MC attends Hogwarts
MC somehow takes Diggorys place during triwizard cup. I'm picturing him telling Voldemort he should have stayed a wraith because now he can touch him before casting magus dumpus (madmanfenrir/AmericaWizard reference) proceeds to troll voldemort and when asked how he is doing so much damage to him he answers saying I know I can't kill him, that doesn't mean I won't make him wish I could.
After the war he has prophetic dreams that lead him to Cheyenne mountain for the start of SG1 cannon eventually finding/discovering the address of one of the only intact/functional Stargates in the StarWars galaxy

There are people out there who write for requests, but if you have no money to pay them shit like this wont be written by a human hand.

Why not trying to write it down by yourself first? Maybe make the context list first for each chapters?

I'm considering writing a Stargate fiction, but this weird combination isn't something I'd seriously consider just like that.

Simply because Science fiction fans are quite likely to dislike Harry Potter.

Also, before Stargate even comes into effect, 7 years pass. Glossing over this phase seems wrong. Either you have to invest hundreds of chapters or gloss over the entire HP saga, which seems like a huge waste of time and kinda kills the story. You essentially have 1 half pure HP and then half Stargate with HP magic. The "gimmick" would only come into play after a very long time.

You could add twists like the MC travelling to Egypt and then stumbling onto Goa'uld tech, like the hand device, a staff weapon of a Zat. That way, you could bring Stargate into the story before the canon timeline begins, but still....

Simply said, this request is way too demanding and focuses on a niche audience, potentially alienating both Stargate and HP fans.
I personally love this kind of story, but it's really quite niche.

Pay me per chapter, and I'll give you your 500 HP/Stargate fanfic ;-) Chances are you'll be my only reader, though.

yeah... I mix sci-fi and fantasy all the time in my fanfics... this one is difficult to envision.

I could probably manage to put something together, but I would need to research all 3 since I am not super familiar with the complete lore of HP other than the first few movies and some fanfics I have read. Depends on what era in Star Wars you want to go to, and for Stargate, the same idea. Are we doing it from the start? Or is this the Atlantis era? Or would we be free to do whatever...

I could see some Harry Potter guy thinking that he was all that and a bucket of deep-fried chicken because he beat up Voldemort, but then he meets a Sith that would immediately put him in his place with a force grip, so he can't cast spells, and it would be over... And some of the beings in STG would just crush any HP powers...

Yeah, unless dude had some sort of LitRPG system, I can't really envision an outcome here that would favour the MC... In fact, I could see the world being invaded through the gate by the empire or whatever, causing chaos as the wizards come out of hiding to try and deal with this new threat... but they were too slow to respond, like they usually are, to stop the empire from gaining a foothold.

Actually, that might be the key to something like this, Earth losing and had to appeal to some STG spacefaring race to come save them

Anyway, not writing it, but there would be some significant challenges with the information provided.

Why Hogwarts instead of Ilvermorny?

Probably personal taste. Ilvermorny is pretty much unknown. If you focus on Ilvermorny, your fanfic is like 95% original. You just borrow the general magic system of HP and a barely fleshed-out setting without any characters. It's probably his personal choice to include Hogwarts.

You can just write a Fanfic that closely follows the original story/timeline, or go in the opposite direction and merely borrow the setting and a few characters.

That makes sense.

Though I've barely done that in the past, I think it's time to promote my own story, Fantasy Realm.

The MC travels through various worlds from games/movies/animes. Harry Potter and Star Wars (eventually also Star Gate) will be very relevant. Mass Effect, which is also Sci-Fi, recently had an arc of like 70-75 chapters. A huge Harry Potter arc has also been done.

It's obviously not EXACTLY what you wanted, but it's pretty close, and I have nearly 500 chapters released publicly with another 80 or so in Beta currently worked on.

@WanderingMerlin You might want to check it out anyway.

If you want to use cannon dates within the story HP is set from 91 to 98 the first Stargate movie that is set a year before SG1 happens in 94 I believe. As for StarWars it canonically has no connection to earth so you could honestly pick whatever insertion point you want. I'm picturing the StarWars gate being in a hidden/forgotten/buried pre sith-empire sith lab one of only a handful still intact let alone functional. The MC being a Reincarnator would know the individual stories/franchises but not necessarily how they would interact.
Question: are both parents wizards?

I think I started reading it at some point but got distracted. I'll need to go back and restart from the beginning

Knee-jerk reaction is UK but could be anywhere within hogwarts sphere of influence

Then it's The United Kingdom or Ireland, it can't be anywhere else because France canonically sends students to Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and anywhere else in Northern or Eastern Europe is tied to Durmstrang Institute.

Make note of that. :blob_okay:

I'm picturing this kid in the mirror room at the end of sorcerers stone shooting at Voldemorts wraith form with a handgun and after Voldemort dissappear he mutters about how he better be glad he was a ghost otherwise he would be full of holes

Why not write the story yourself? It's clear you have these scenes already in your head. What you just wrote here? That's a draft of a single scene. Just keep writing down those draft notes and you'll start seeing how they can be tied together.

Also with the way I'm picturing this guy his dad is both a Floridian redneck and a marine

I wish I could. I can do broad strokes just fine, it's the fine details and things like dialog that bring me to a screeching halt. I have had so many story ideas go through my head the problem is getting them out in a way that constitutes a story and not just a synopsis

You're writing the drafts notes right now. Keep that up. Continue writing those notes down. And as for dialogue, you're talking to us. That's dialogue. You can't tell me you can't write when you just did it.

That's just the thing. I have created hundreds of stories in my head, some with at least 300-500 chapters worth of content.

Actually creating the story takes a long time and incredible amounts of effort.
