As long as you have no voted on you (reveals when you have votes on you in the voting phase are ineffective), if a spy thinks they knows the oath word, they may reveal themselves and get two chances to guess the oath word. If the word is guessed correctly, the spies wins. Else, the council wins.
Don't be afraid and reveal urself.

The oathword on execution makes sense. "No don't kill me! I'm one of you. Here, as proof I'll say the word that no one but us knows."
But how does the reveal work? Are the council members brainwashed to trust anyone who knows the word?

Maybe it's more "They know the oathword, so they can't possibly be a spy"
