After what Netflix did to Cowboy Bebop, I won't be watching any live adaptations to much of anything. The only ones I sometimes tune into is the ones made in Japan and Korea that I need subtitles too. At least then, I know it'll be faithful. Or at least try really damn hard.
I've gotten to the point where I sold my television and ended my satellite television subscription. I unsubscribed to all but 2 streaming sites, and only for very specific things that once they are over, I'll be cutting those subscriptions too. I read almost exclusively Korean material online. Not entirely, but almost. I have 6 shelves that extend to my ceiling with nothing but history books. I'm a big history nerd. Went to uni for history before I realized it was a scam, took me 2 years to figure that out though. I was naive.
Now I'm just a nightclub security specialist, which is a fancy way of saying I make sure drunks don't get too rough or "handsy" with the scantily-clad dancers. Currently enjoying my first paid vacation in a year and a half
I haven't been to the theater since 2017. I almost exclusively consume written/drawn material. I hardly even watch anime anymore. I have Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, S-Cry-Ed, Black Lagoon, and DuaRarara!! on my shelf. I binge re-watch them frequently. That makes up nearly all of my anime interest now. I kinda want to buy Jormungand since it's similar to Black Lagoon but not quite as good. But yeah, I read Korean works, some stuff on RoyalRoad, countless history books, and the few small shows on stream I still tune into are all the new entertainment I still bother with now. The only show on any medium I'm even waiting for, is season 2 of Tower of God. That's it.
